Sustainable veterinary clinic
The Hofheim Veterinary Clinic claims to be one of the largest small animal clinics in Germany with around 170 employees today. The best medical care with the latest procedures and equipment with a sustainable focus are the guiding principles of this veterinary clinic. This own high standard was also set in the planning of the new 3700m² clinic building. Here, too, the focus was on the latest technology in all areas. SmartHeat heat pumps have been included in the engineering design for the heating and cooling concept. Together with the designers of the SmartHeat team, 2 special heat pumps of the Titan series in 3-stage design were planned and developed, which meet the requirements of the special and sometimes simultaneous heating and cooling requirements.
And the concepts were quickly turned into nails with heads: the groundbreaking ceremony for the new impressive clinic building took place in May 2015, the foundation stone was laid in July and the topping-out ceremony was celebrated in Hofheim in September. At the same time, the specially designed brine / water heat pumps were produced in Güstrow. Both units are special heat pumps with 120 kW each in a 3-stage version. This was necessary to ensure the generation of the required cooling capacities for medical devices and servers while at the same time supplying heat to the heating surfaces. Recoolers serve as the heat source for this.
On September 25, 2016, the doors to the new clinic were officially opened. The first patient in the new house is the 13-year-old Havanese "Joschi". Like many other animals, he could now look forward to treatment in a multi-million dollar project - clearly a showpiece for Hofheim.
The clinic has laid all the foundations for the individual treatment of its animal patients. At the same time, attention was paid to all employees. There is now a larger kitchen and a nice social room, a roof terrace for relaxing breaks, larger rooms for the laundry and changing rooms. Even a small living area can also be found on the upper floor, where technology also takes up a lot of square meters. Because the clinic has been given an elaborate air conditioning and ventilation system, with SmartHeat heat pumps at its heart.
