Effective use of process heat

Dennert Poraver GmbH relies on SmartHeat

Wärmepumpe Dennert Poraver GmbH

Using a heat pump system, the heart of which is a SmartHeat Titan 100 WW HT, the process heat generated during production is used as a source of energy. On the heating side, underfloor heating in the canteen and the laboratory office ensures the desired temperatures. The existing radiators can also be used without any problems thanks to the high-temperature version (“HT”) used here. In addition, the SmartHeat heat pump prepares the hot water for the showers.

SmartHeat heat pumps are ideal for modernization - as in this reference. Existing resources in both the source and sink areas can continue to be used in a cost-effective manner. There is therefore nothing to prevent a short payback period. This SmartHeat Titan was developed specifically for the needs of the production facility. Special requirements were placed on the narrow width of the device, which was dictated by an existing door size. The specific SmartHeat design helped to create a first-class product to individually satisfy customer needs.

With this Titan heat pump, Dennert Poraver GmbH has opted for an intelligent and effective solution to sustainably reduce energy costs and benefits from the reliability of over 28 years of experience - SmartHeat heat pumps.

About the operator:

In Postbauer-Heng in Upper Palatinate, a market town with just under 7,500 inhabitants southeast of Nuremberg, is Dennert Poraver GmbH, which claims to be the global market leader in the production and distribution of expanded glass granulate. Founded in 1983, the company manufactures products for dry mortar, construction chemical products, wallpaper and the automotive industry, among others, and is represented in over 30 countries.

For its European development and production center in Postbauer-Heng, the industrial company decided in 2013 not to simply waste the heat energy generated during the expanded glass production process, but to use it sensibly.
