Tierklinik Hofheim

Sustainable veterinary clinic

The Hofheim Animal Clinic claims to be one of the largest small animal clinics in Germany, with around 170 employees today. The best medical care with the most modern procedures and equipment with a sustainable focus are the guiding principles of this animal clinic. This high standard was also set when planning the new 3700m² clinic building. Here, too, the focus was on the latest technology in all areas. SmartHeat heat pumps were included in the engineering design for the heating and cooling concept. Together with the designers of the SmartHeat team, 2 special heat pumps from the Titan series were planned and developed in a 3-stage version, which meet the requirements of the special and sometimes simultaneous heating and cooling requirements.

And the concepts were quickly put into practice: In May 2015, the groundbreaking ceremony for the new impressive clinic building took place, the foundation stone was laid in July, and the topping-out ceremony was celebrated in Hofheim in September. At the same time, the specially designed brine/water heat pumps were produced in Güstrow. Both devices are special heat pumps with 120 kW each in a 3-stage design. This was necessary to ensure the generation of the required cooling capacity for medical devices and servers while simultaneously supplying heat to the heating surfaces. Recoolers serve as the heat source for this.

Tierklinik Hofheim

The doors to the new clinic were officially opened on September 25, 2016. The first patient in the new building is the 13-year-old Havanese "Joschi". Like many other animals, he was now able to look forward to treatment in the multi-million dollar project - clearly a showcase facility for Hofheim.

The clinic has created all the foundations for the individual treatment of its animal patients. At the same time, attention was also paid to all employees. There is now a larger kitchen and a beautiful social room, a roof terrace for relaxing breaks, larger rooms for the laundry and changing rooms. There is even a small living area on the upper floor, where the technology also takes up many square meters. This is because the clinic has received an elaborate air conditioning and ventilation system, with SmartHeat heat pumps at the heart of it.
